Lighthouse Pointe

today we have rested at the rig most of the day. Bruce gave the rig a good checking over to be ready to go tomorrow again. I have made spagetti in the crockpot from 'scratch" YUM! cannot wait until it is time for the MOD. we rode over to Lighthouse Pointe. we learned that the rocky coastline is from volcanic rock and that the harbor is ice free. the lighthouse was neat to view and we learned that a part of the original first Canadian lighthouse is still present. We stopped to see if i could get a photo op of the fortress across the water. A little girl asked me if i was country. she said that i sounded country. then she came back and told me that she was part country, "Howdy partner" How are You'all doing?" She was a trip and 1/2!  Bruce had to stop back by the Fortress view restaurant and bakery and get another dozen homemade cookies for the road. He was told there were no calories on the weekend. This is a very nice quiet town. the store on the corner reminds us of Garrison's Store at home. I have fallen in love with the cranberry bed and breakfast building. it's back is facing us from the RV park.
