HOME/Maw Maws

We traveled from Myrtle Beach to Morganton early AM. We arrived about 11:30 AM. My mother sure was glad to see us and I was VERY glad to see her. She looks so good and has weathered our absence with flying colors. I am proud of her. My Mother in Law has also kept the home fires burning very well while we have been gone. She has taken excellent care of my plants in the sun room.
We thought that we would be going to a Hoyle reunion tomorrow. The Hoyle family will be together but for Judy Landis Philbeck's funeral services. To remember this wonderful woman's life will be with happiness about her restored body in Heaven!!!
Petie ran from from end of the house to the other as fast as he could go about three times. i thin k that he was glad to be home too.
We have traveled 4650 miles. We had $3,541.42 total camping fees. The average per day was $31.34 per day. We had a total of $2550.37 diesel fuel expense. We were gone 113 days.
getting closer!

Briarcliffe RV Resort

Briarcliffe RV Resort is located in North Myrtle Beach. it is a membership RV Park. We bought a membership about 10 years ago.  I remember telling Bruce that we now can live in a 'gated RV community.' We pay an annual maintenance fee. We then call for a reservation when we need to use the park and after checking in, we select the vacant site that we want. Each site is a concrete pad. There are people our age usually in this park. Bubba calls it the ol folks campground. "You can smell more Ben Gay than Hawaiian tropic" per Bubba. The park is usually very quiet. We see alot of the same members from time to time. We like to park on Iris street, however we like it about anywhere we can get a site.  The clubhouse is big and alot of activities happen here. ice cream socials, Bingo, a non denominational church service on Sunday AM and a nice exercise room and a large pool on the intercoastal waterway. The Chapel is such a nice place to visit especially when there are urgent prayer needs that come up during the visit. the altar is always open with an open Bible. There is an outside activity area including a mini golf course. There is a good mixture of transient sites with permanent sites and cabins. We really enjoy our times at this RV Resort.

Hamrick's Pierre-aka Petie

I am ready for Halloween and the Goblins!!
10-3-11 YEAH!! I GET TO BLOG AGAIN!!  My humans are doing boring things like having the propane tank refilled and having the resevoir replaced on the radiator today. While i took my long nap, they rode down to Ocean Lakes campground to look for some friends, but they arrive later this week.
BUT, I HAVE GOT TO DO AN EXCITING THINGS!! I GOT TO GO TO PET SMART!!! That id the most fun. I got the TOP DOG treatment because it had been so long since my humans had been able to find a Pet Smart. I got my hair and nails done as well as my teeth brushed. See how pretty and white they are. They scare some people, but i don't mean to do that. i was really upset with my groomer. She thought hearing me growl and bark was funny. my humans do not like that, but she meant well , I guess. I sure was glad to see my 'Mom" human as well as my "Dad" human when they picked me up. Oh, and i had a clean crate(with chlorox wipes) and bed. I am so happy. I was so tired that I took a Looong nap. Until next time.

my coat is SO white
i love my goblin scarf

Hamrick's Pierre aka Petie

On Mom's lap with my new chew toy!!
I am so excited since i get to contribute to our blog again!! Guess what. My human's went to Pet Smart without me today. i was upset with them at first, but they told me that i get to go for hair and nails on Monday!! They got me two new toys while they were there. a chew bone and a new set of pacifiers. i am so glad because all my pacifiers are chewed to the nub. BUT, i like this chew bone because it is bacon flavored.
You can see that i have let the new pacifier lay. i did not ask to go up tonight because i was having so much fun.
the pillow is nice to lay on
while i chew my new bone

i like the bacon bone the best

Myrtle Beach

We are so happy to be back to one of most favorite places to be. We are trying to help the SC economy along with hundreds more!! It is so crowded right now. There is a fall bike rally in N Myrtle, but that is not the entire reason for crowding. It appears that everyone is trying to get in one last vacation, people are already Christmas shopping, people here on a stop over to Florida, etc, etc, etc. We met the garrisons last night and had our MOD at the Carolina Roadhouse. Their service and food was great. Their creamed spinach was the best ever. We just cannot get away from storms. It came a flood and the lightening danced as we were leaving the restaurant. That was really good on our fresh wash jobs of the RV and car. Today, we got up about 8 AM and Bruce went to the grocery store and to get gas in the car. He found gas for $3.19/gallon (then later today we saw gas at $3.09/gallon at one station. We helped the SC economy by going to Camping World, Eddie Bauer, Sam's Club and Pet Smart. ALL these places were very crowded. We made Petie a spa appointment for Monday AM! We bought Petie some new toys and that made him so very happy! We tried to have a MOD at Steak n Shake. there were people waiting everywhere to get in. So, we came home and had a sandwich!!
Our blogs will be varied from now on. There is not that need to blog every day that we had beforeand i need to focus on walking again. I have started with 1.6 miles!  Until next time.
