Great Grandmothers visiting Kelly, Piper and Riley

Today was a day set aside for Mother and Katherine to get to meet Piper and visit with Kelly and Riley. What a wonderful visit it was.

we came back to Morganton and stopped at Timberwoods for lunch. A great day with our mothers.

the dentist....hamburgers, hotdogs and Chinese fire lanterns

Bruce went to Dr. Robert Stevenson for three broken teeth. He bonded them, so NO crowns. The troops had hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans and cole slaw and cake by Roxie for dessert. After dark time, Chinese fire lanterns were the item of interest!!

Here and there

Today is Bubba and Kelly's 3rd wedding anniversary. Wishing them MANY more!!! Getting Soooo excited for their next chapter in their lives!!

Bruce and I went to Morganton to get a problem with my Debit card fixed and to visit with my mother! We did Skype with Bubba and wished him well in his OCS board interview tomorrow.

Marion, NC...Tom Johnson's Rally Park...Annual Barbecue

We traveled 63 miles today from Maggie Valley, NC to Marion, NC. We are parking here to REST with friends for about 1 1/2 weeks before taking the rig to Morganton. The beginning of our day did not go well. I became sick with diarrhea. Imodium to the rescue. We parked and then went over to the TJs café for breakfast. Bruce got our camp set up in great fashion...even using the sunscreen. The Morganton Mafia got 'The Compound' set up. We had shrimp, salad  and boiled corn on the cob and hushpuppies and BURNT toast for supper.
