more Peshastin, Washington sights

Bruce and I took a ride into Cahmere this morning and I was able to get a few more pictures that show the beauty of this area of the USA:

boxes ready for apples, pears, etc.

more boxes at a different farm

Yes, snow capped mountain in July!

lots of people rafting today

Pete and Jean invited us to join them to visit a couple more sights in the area. The first was the Silvara Vineyards... This was a gorgeous place located on a hillside surrounded by pear orchards and the Cascade Mountains. There was a lodge style tasting room, with live band playing, overlooking the Upper Wenatchee River Valley. It is said that the wines are as wonderful as the view. here are a few photos to enjoy:

The second place was Smallwood's Harvest just below the winery. This is a country mercantile with a large assortment of the foods in the valley. There was tasting permitted of all the products even wines, popcorn, pickles and on and on!!
