This evening, we traveled to Sackets Harbor and all had a meal at the Boathouse Restaurant.

This was a return trip for us and it was as great as it was last year!! As Tammy said on her facebook post, it was unbelievable that we were sitting around a table 2 years ago planning a wedding. This time we were celebrating God's beautiful, wonderful gift to our families.

A time of celebration!!!

Riley Grace Hamrick

today has been the first day of being
Grandma Maretta /Retta/Rella

Riley was born at 1:43AM this morning. She weighed 8 lbs and 5 ounces. She measured 21 inches long. This was the first picture that I saw of her. My cousin, Gena, said it best. "Monday's child is full of Grace. how cool is that !!!!!"

Riley Grace Hamrick

As I looked at this picture,  I could see that baby placed in my arms so many years ago. Especially because of her cheeks because I remember vividly thinking 'his cheeks look like a chipmunk.
As I looked at this picture, I see my daughter in law's nose and lips. As Bubba told his grandmother, 'Well maw Maw, she has a 50 50 chance of looking like me or Kelly" oh yeah, he loves to get Maw Maw!!!
Bruce and I are so overwhelmed with love for our granddaughter.....Yes. But it makes us love our son and daughter in law even more than before. More love for Bubba as we watch him be such a protective husband and father. More love for Kelly as she allowed her physical strength to be drained as she carried and delivered this baby. only God is to have the glory!!!  They are taking parenting at ease right now and we have the utmost admiration for them both.

Admiration of his baby girl

Texas Roadhouse/ Watertown, NY

Last evening, we met Bubba and Kelly for a very nice meal at the Texas Roadhouse, a favorite restaurant of choice for Kelly!!! We are enjoying their company and being near them for a change.
I chose to drink water (no charge) with my meal, so that I could have portabella mushrooms with my steak (extra charge) Soooo good and tasty!!!

Of course, much to their dismay, i had my camera along!!

YES! Bubba had a peanut in his mouth

Remington RV Park/ Ft. Drum, NY

On 6-4-2012, Bruce, Petie and I traveled 110 miles and arrived at our final northern destination. our trip was uneventful. We arrived at the Ft. Drum Inn and checked into the campground. We were permitted to come o to our site #12. They have completed the clover leaf three part, Hillside campground. They have put six nice cabins in the area of 12 sites that we stayed on last year. Bubba and Kelly came over and visited with us before he had to go to the field. His company was scheduled for a two night qualification. I made them a sandwich and they enjoyed some Hershey chocolate candies. Bruce and I had Burger King sandwiches and mine made me sick all night.

On 6-5-2012, we took Kelly to lunch at the Cracker Barrel. This was a meal of chicken and dumplings for me!! It was SO good to visit with Kelly. She is amazing. She is sos ready to be a mother!! Kelly's MD appointment went well today. Some progress reported!! I made tuna salad and tomato for mine and Bruce's supper.

On 6-6-2012, we packed the rig up and took it to a mechanic that fixed a wheel that was leaking some oil. Afterwards, we went to the PX and had Subway and then to the commissary to buy groceries. We both took naps as we had got up at 5 AM.  We picked up Bubba and Kelly at their apartment and wet to the Ruyi (an Asian blessing of good fortune) Japanese Steakhouse.for our MOD. WOW! such great food. So much, i will enjoy one half of it tomorrow for supper. This restaurant was formerly a Long John Silver's restaurant. the interior of the building was gutted and changed to a wonderful japanese restaurant. We chose a hibachi grill table. the Hibachi chef cooked our food right in front of us. The Hibachi dinners come with a osumashi soup, ginger salad, vegetables and steamed or fried rice. The soup was broth with bits of mushrooms and scallions.

We learned that Robert Frye had passed away unexpectedly. This really pulls the rug out from under you he was about our age.
Today, we went to the NAPA store just off post and picked up the RV windshield wiper blades that Bruce had ordered. This was the third time ordering them.(wrong length was sent twice). They worked so well, bruce ordered another set to have as spares.I enjoyed time outside in the shade of the awning in Bible study.

Yellow Lantern Kampground...Cortland, New York

Bruce and I traveled 222 miles from Hershey, Pa. to Cortland, New York. We decided to make areservation at the other campgound on this exit. Last year, we stayed at a country music oriented campground and it was not a good experience. We are at the Yellow Lantern Kampground on a pull through with water and electric and 50 amps. We are about 100 miles from Ft. Drum. It rained and has been in the 60s all day. the windhield wipers on the RV both need to be replaced. At about 5:45 PM, the sun is shining!
