Peace River TT RV Resort

1-29-2012  We have come to enjoy late afternoon coffee on the 'veranda'. We have a new neighbor that moved into Tommy and JoAnn's site. These new neighbor's are in a Phaeton motorhome. Bruce said the Lord was punishing him because he wants a Phaeton so bad.

We went to the Pioneer Restaurant and had our MOD with Walter and Evelyn. The salad bar and fried chicken were good.

Clouds- Judy Collins-1967

Bows and flows of angel hair and ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere, I've looked at clouds that way
But now they only block the sun...they rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done, but clouds got in my way

        I've looked at clouds from both sides now
        from up and down and still somehow
        it's cloud's illusions I recall
        i really don't know clouds at all.

Austrian Hermann's Royal Lipizzaner Stallions/Myakka City, Florida

We revisited the ranch that houses the Austrian Hermann's Royal Lipizzaner Stallions today. We invited Helen and Richard Greene to join us. WOW!! They are beautiful animals and are so spirited but so trainable. Enjoy the pictures.

Just hanging out!!!!

1-18-2012 Today was a catch up day. I did laundry and cleaned the rig. i am trying to exercise as much as possible and made 3 miles today. Bruce and i tried the Macaroni Grill for our MOD. We were not impressed. Give us Olive Garden for Italian food.

1-19-2012 We went to Eutus, Florida to a flea market. We were accompanied by the Greenes and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  I purchased another hand crocheted necklace with a dolphin pendant!! We had pizza at the Lil Anthony's NY pizzeria again. another good MOD.
We found out that our grandchild will be a girl!!! Riley Grace will be her name.

1-20-2012 Packing up. tomorrow is moving day. more cleaning of the rig. Cracker Barrel for MOD and a great visit with the Greenes over at Citrus Valley RV Resort.

 We stayed on this site for two nights. We declined sites that were offered that were not in our top five picks for two days.
1-23-2012 Today we were the first to be allowed to choose a site with full hookups. We chose a large site with a cement patio behind some friends, the Almonds. We were pleased and so was Petie.

1-13-2012 today, we rested most of the day. I cooked breakfast for supper (tenderloin, eggs and gravy). i caught the blog up and cleaned the rig!! Bruce rested. He is enjoying his new bicycle (a Swinn from Wal Mart. His gift card from bubba and Kelly was greatly appreciated.

1-14-2012 We traveled to Tampa to the RV show on the State Fairgrounds. We were very disappointed in the Fleetwood products. We saw nothing that we would trade our Bounder for especailly since we are looking to be free of that indebtedness this year. We are very comfortable with the inside rennovations from last year. We came back through Plant City, Florida. Of course, we stopped at Parkesdale Farms again for a strawberry shortcake. i enjoyed another strawberry milkshake.
I enjoyed the Miss America Pageant and was pleased with the winner of Miss Wisconsin.

1-15-2012 another day of hanging around the rig. We and the Greenes went to the Smokehouse for Sunday lunch. the smoked chicken was great!!  The Starlings came over and visited at our rig. That was great for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the concert by the gospel singer, the Hyssong family.

1-16-2012 We and the Greenes rode to The Villages and saw the golf cart capital of the world!! we came back by and had MOD at Lil Anthony's NY pizza restaurant..

 1-17-2012 Dr Young had ordered follow blood work related to diabetes. We got up early and went to Lab Corp in Clermont, Florida. THEN, i enjoyed Cracker Barrel coffee and Maine blueberry buttermilk pancakes covered with sugar free syrup. We hung around the rig and met other Guroos for MOD at Sweet Tomatoes restaurant. Great food again!!
We came back into TT and shopped at a produce stand. We saw a hawk, a BIG turtle crossing the road and some sand hill cranes.
